- Do women get the good songs?
Often they do and tonight will show how inspirational those songs and those women can be.
Happily, the "American Songbook" provides a wide spectrum.
And when you go looking for inspirational moments, you'll find them everywhere.
Whether it's Carole King's statements of what being a woman feels like or a young orphan's optimistic statement that there will indeed be a tomorrow, all these performances provide inspiration.
One of the best aspects of this series has been the sheer variety of the performers and they are well represented in tonight's show.
Most of the songs will be familiar but if there are ones that are new to you, sit back and enjoy, allow yourself to be inspired.
